"I photograph weddings the way I shoot everything in my life. Wedding photography is... to be a part of something real, to see into people's lives. At weddings, I'm seeing the joy."
The photo-essay begins as the bridal party is getting ready. I see a grandmother's hands smoothing down the wedding veil or a sister's devotion as she helps the bride with her make-up and dress. I look for that kind of cinematic storytelling. Later, I shoot the formal portraits with a high resolution 35mm digital camera, and upload the files into color and black and white images. By the end of the reception, I've captured the spontaneous and emotional reactions of friends and family as well as the nuances of personal traditions. Each event has its own unique personality, narrative and exquisite details. That's why not one wedding I've done looks like any other. My albums are one-of-a-kind photographic art books, and become an integral part of your life as well as a legacy to give to your children.
